The 1301 was the less expensive of the Silvertone
offerings in the late '40s. Less powerful, less umm... attractive than
the 1300, but the same overall design, but not as refined, well-spec'd or
decorative as the 1300, check out the amp chassis for
the most direct similarity to the 1300.
Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1947 at $47.50 as the 57K1301
Through its career, it was also  57X1301
57E1301
Retired:
Spring/Summer 1950 at $34.95 as the 57D1301

The hallmark of the 1301 was its 'walrus-tooth' speaker protection system; two
simple wooden bars tacked in place. The handle design also seemed to evolve over
the short life of this amp. Some had the flared-end leather handle, while some
relied on a pinned bracket to keep the handle handy.
