The 1445 was part of the late-68 'Japanese Invasion'
of the Sears catalog. It sported a rather Mosrite-y shape, very much like the
groovy Teisco/Univox/Kawai strummers of the same era. With three pickups, a
whammy setup, a fancy edge bevel, and a fancy finish that let the grain of some
nice veneer show, the 1445 was in the top group of Japanese-built Silvertones.
Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1968

Became a 1441 briefly as a block-logo Silvertone before changing into a 'Space
Dot' branded guitar, lasting at least until 1972.
Also sold by Simpson-Sears in Canada as the 26877.
