Danelectro produced a 'U' style bodied series of guitars under their own brand; a line of guitars so popular they were re-issued in the mid-90s. They also made these guitars for sale at Sears as Silvertones. Beginning with the 1375/77, then onto a proto-classic 'C' shape, finally to well-known 'U' shape in early '58, and continuing on for several  years with almost two dozen styles, and of course, those famously different 'Coke Bottle' and 'Dolphin Nose' headstocks.

Fall/Winter 1954 with the proto-'C' style bodies of the 1375/77

Retired:
Fall/Winter 1962 for everything but the 1444 Bass, which was retired in F/W 1965
